Here we are, at table 86 at Charlie Trotter's, Chicago. (It's the only table in the kitchen - it took Craig four months to get this reservation). Clockwise: me, Marcia, Eric, Mary Anne, Mary, and Craig. The dishwasher got up on the counter and took our photo. Our reservation was for 9 pm. We had 14 courses, the last course being 5 desserts (served at 1:30 am). This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. (And this is the second time I've had this once-in-a-lifetime experience - after returning from my first year in Alaska, the boys took me for a belated Mother's Day gift. This time, as agreed, I had to foot my own bill - and being with my family for such a wonderful occasion, it was worth every penny!!)
