In January my 15 year-old VW Jetta diesel finally hit the repair mark which I was not willing to meet. I rented a car at the airport and drove to Naperville, bought a Mini Cooper and drove home and surprised everybody. This is a 2006 model - the 2007 model had some minor changes - it was made an inch or two longer in order to meet European safety standards. All my life I've wanted an English sports car, and now I have one. (The Mini IS still made in Oxford; however, it was bought out by BMW a few years ago.)

My Little Mini
